Rain Expected Thursday and Friday

Rain will spread north into the area tonight and then continue into Thursday. A few thunderstorms could also occur Thursday afternoon and evening. The rain will end Friday morning with the clouds expected to stick around into the weekend. There will be a large spread in the high temperatures for Thursday. They will range from 35 to 45 degrees along and north of Interstate 90 and from the mid-40s to mid-60s across the remainder of the area. For the rest of the week, high temperatures will range from the mid-30s to mid-40s.

Rainfall amounts are currently expected to range from about a half inch up to 1.75 inches. The higher amounts, an inch or more, should fall across northeast Iowa into central Wisconsin. Flooding is not expected to occur because of the overall dry conditions that have occurred this fall.
