Winter Storm Warnings have been issued for parts of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and western into central Wisconsin where 5-8 inches of snowfall accumulations are expected. A wintry mix will limit snowfall amounts to near 5 inches and provide a possible glaze of ice in other areas of northeast Iowa into far southwestern Wisconsin where Winter Weather Advisories have been issued. Initial lighter snow this evening will affect northeast Iowa into southeastern Minnesota creating potentially slippery conditions for the evening commute. Snow will continue pushing into western and central Wisconsin tonight, becoming heavier area wide during the overnight hours. Snowfall rates will be between 1-2 inches per hour during this time resulting in decreased visibilities, rapid accumulations, and quickly deteriorating road conditions. Snow will continue into Thursday morning, affecting the morning commute.
