There’s been a TON of talk about the potential winter storm headed our way early next week.  Things are becoming a little more clear.  Check out the latest from the National Weather Service in La Crosse and Des Moines.

A winter storm is on track to bring snow and wind to southern portions of the region Monday through Tuesday night. Locally, Monday night through Tuesday is the time frame of concern, with the impacts currently focused on northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin. Uncertainty continues on the track of the storm, and some adjustments to the track and forecast are anticipated. Monitor a trusted source for the latest forecasts and be prepared for potential impacts – especially if you have travel plans south or east.

It probably isn’t too much of a surprise at this point, but there remains the potential for a winter storm to affect the area early next week. At this point in time, there is a modest chance for moderate snowfall across portions of central into southern Iowa. Details continue to come into focus with this storm still a few days away, which will ultimately see snowfall amounts and potential change some between now and the event.
