New Oreo Cookie Flavor Coming Soon

First, they’re sweet and then they’re sour … Oreo has released dozens of different varieties and flavors over the years and has been very creative, usually to the delight of the brand’s hardcore fans, but their latest offering may have gone too far. Oreo just announced it is rolling out a limited-edition Sour Patch Kids cookie. It is a golden cookie with colorful specks of Sour Patch Kids baked in, with a creme filling containing even more Sour Patch pieces. The brand says it has “a sweet yet sour taste.” An Oreo spokesperson says, “The Oreo brand is always looking for playful ways to excite our fans. What better and more unexpected way to do that than letting Sour Patch Kids playfully takeover our cookie.” The response from fans have been mixed, with some looking forward to trying them to others who say the combination is “gross.” The cookie will hit store shelves across the country on May 6th.
