As if we didn’t have enough to worry about, new flying pests from Asia known as murder hornets have been discovered in the U.S. for the first time.

They are particularly threatening to bees, since they can reportedly destroy an entire colony in hours. And, they can also be a threat to humans, with Japan reporting that 50 people a year have died from their stingers that can puncture protective gear worn by beekeepers.  On top of that, the queens can grow to be two-inches long!
