LANE CLOSURE ON THE IOWA 9 BRIDGE OVER THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AT LANSING BEGINS ON MONDAY, DEC. 4

MASON CITY, Iowa – Nov. 29, 2023 – If you travel on the Iowa 9 bridge over the Mississippi River from Lansing to Wisconsin 82 in rural Crawford County, WI you need to be aware of an upcoming construction project that may slow down your trip.

Starting on Monday, Dec. 4, until Friday, Dec. 15, weather permitting, construction crews will close the eastbound lane on the bridge so the bridge rail can be repaired. You will be guided across the bridge with flaggers while work is taking place.

Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones.
