Dixie Chicks Change Name to The Chicks

According to their new website and social media handles, The Dixie Chicks–Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer–have rebranded as “The Chicks.”

The trio’s name change comes after weeks of social unrest that has put a spotlight on systematic racism and discrimination.

The Chicks will release their upcoming eighth studio album, Gaslighter, on July 17. The Chicks dropped a new song, “March March” yesterday, which you can listen to below.
