Closure of Front Street in Lansing Scheduled for Friday, Feb. 16

NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – Feb. 9, 2024 – If you travel on Front Street in Lansing you need to be aware of an upcoming road closure that may slow down your trip.

Beginning on Friday morning, Feb. 16, weather permitting, crews will close Front Street between Henry and Hale streets to start work on Pier 1 for the Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing replacement project.

Front Street will be closed through the fall of 2024. The next anticipated closure of Front Street will be from the fall of 2025 through the summer of 2027.

Help keep everyone on the road safer.
