The owner of a car in Colorado learned why you should never leave food unattended inside a vehicle when bears are preparing to hibernate.
Wildlife officials were called out to a vehicle in Littleton to remove a bear which had climbed into the backseat. Apparently, the owner had left a bag of peanut M&M’s inside and this particular bear had a sweet tooth. Colorado Parks and Wildlife shared a video on social media showing the officer opening the car door and yelling at the bear to leave. The officer then showed the inside of the vehicle, which had been destroyed by the bear. The seats were torn apart and the bear left behind a large pile of poop as payment for the candy.
