Motorists in Spokane, Washington were alerted to a bizarre road hazard during their morning commute on Wednesday where they were advised to be on the lookout for angry raccoons.
An electronic road sign on the side of the road displayed a message which read, “Angry raccoons ahead.” Motorists didn’t really know what to do with that confusing information. The Department of Public Works contacted the company that controls the sign and concluded that a prankster somehow hacked into it and changed the message. Spokane Traffic Control, which owns and operates the sign, said they were relieved that the message was at least G-rated and not offensive.
