Pumpkins can be used for everything from making a spooky jack-o-lantern to baking a tasty pie, but one Tennessee man recently found another good use for the gourd.
According to WTVC-TV, after growing a massive pumpkin that weighed 910 pounds, farmer Justin Ownby hollowed it out and converted it into a boat.
Ownby then grabbed a paddle and tested the vessel’s buoyancy in his farm’s pond, and his wife, Christin, was there to film it and upload it on Facebook.
After the first video showed Ownby paddling in the pumpkin with ease, a second video showed him taking bigger risks in the boat.
In the second video, Ownby can be seen standing up in the pumpkin and falling over after someone tells him to “do [George] Washington crossing the Delaware [River].”
