Looney Tunes: Elmer J. Fudd Banned From Having a Gun

Elmer J. Fudd’s gun license has been revoked.

Showrunners for the updated Looney Tunes shows say the cartoon hunter won’t be allowed to have a rifle in new episodes on HBO Max. According to Deadline, “Fudd will still be hunting, but will use a scythe. That’s a modification in response to U.S. gun violence.”

Executive producer Peter Browngardt tells The New York Times, “We’re not doing guns. But we can do cartoony violence – TNT, the Acme stuff.”
