The highest-paid daytime star is quitting TV – for just one year.
On Monday, Judy Sheindlin will tell Ellen DeGeneres her plans. The Judge Judy courtroom TV show will end after 25 years of in syndication.
Judy said to Ellen in a pre-taped interview, (quote) “CBS sort of felt they wanted to optimally utilize the repeats of my program. You should get all the reruns that CBS has sold to stations currently carrying Judge Judy.”
According to Forbes magazine, Judy Sheindlin’s syndication deal paid her nearly $150 million annually.
Judge Judy wraps production in exactly one year. Then Sheindlin intends to launch a new program called Judy Justice. (The Wrap)
