The owners of a shoe-shaped house in Pennsylvania are now renting it out on VRBO for short-term stays. Known as the Haines Shoe House, it was built in 1948 by Mahlon Haines, who owned a chain of shoe stores in Pennsylvania. The current owners, Waylon and Naomi Brown, bought the house in July and renovated it. It features three shoe-themed bedrooms, which have been dubbed, “Shoelace Space,” “Instep Suite” and “Ankle Abode.” Reservations are available starting at $269 a night.
