June 7th is National VCR Day

Today is National VCR Day.  If you’re too young to know, that stands for Video Cassette Recorder.  For those of you old enough to have had one, they were expensive.  Prices for VCR’s in 1975 ranged from $1,000 to $1,400.  The best selling VHS movie of all time was “The Lion King”, it sold over 35 million copies.  The last VCR was produced back in 2016, but they are still available on e-bay…..or in someone’s attic or basement.
