University of Iowa Looking For New Wave Song

After 5 years of doing the Hawkeye Wave, the University of Iowa wants your help on selecting a new song for one best traditions in college sports.  The current song accompanying the Hawkeye Wave is “Wave on Wave,” from Pat Green.  You can submit your nomination for a new song here.  The University will select the top eight songs for fan voting on July 11, and the new song will be announced on August 1.

The Hawkeye football team opens its 2022 season hosting South Dakota State at Kinnick Stadium on Sept. 3.

Created by our fans, the #HawkeyeWave has become the greatest tradition in sports.
