Severe Storms Possible Sunday Afternoon And Evening

Severe storms will be possible late Sunday afternoon into the early evening as a cold front moves across the region. Damaging winds, large hail and locally heavy rains look to be the main threats from this activity. However, there will be a chance for a tornado or two across northeast Iowa into southwest Wisconsin.   • What: Severe storms possible. Main threats are damaging winds, large hail and locally heavy rain. A tornado or two could also occur.
  • Where: Damaging winds, large hail and heavy possible across the entire area. The tornado threat looks to be across northeast Iowa into southwest Wisconsin.
  • Timing: Peak threat timing is 3 to 9 p.m.
  • Impacts: Hail damage to property, crops possible. Winds could damage trees, down power lines.
  • ACTION: Stay weather aware! Take shelter when storms approach and be sure to have a way to receive warnings.
