A lobster diver survived being nearly swallowed alive by a humpback whale.
Michael Packard recalled the terrifying minute he spent inside the whale’s mouth on Friday morning. He was scuba diving in 45-feet of water in search of lobster of crawling on the sandy bottom. Packard said (quote) “I felt this huge shove. The next thing I knew it was completely black. I could sense I was moving. I could feel the whale squeezing with the muscles in his mouth.”
Humans are not ordinarily whale food. The humpback spit out Packard like a bad meal. His boating buddy rushed Packard to the hospital where he was treated and released….A fish story to tell the grandchildren.
